Volkswagen ID.4: Introduction to the instrument cluster

The content displayed in the Volkswagen ID.4 instrument cluster can be customized according to driver preferences, allowing for a personalized driving experience.

WARNING

Operating the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit or Infotainment system while driving the Volkswagen ID.4 may distract the driver from the road. Driver distraction can lead to accidents, serious injuries, or even fatal consequences.

• Always maintain full attention while driving the Volkswagen ID.4.
• Do not operate the instrument cluster while the vehicle is in motion.
• Only adjust settings when the vehicle is stationary.

WARNING

If a serious malfunction occurs in the Volkswagen ID.4 instrument cluster, the display may switch off completely. Warning lights may still be present, but additional warnings cannot be shown. This situation may lead to vehicle breakdowns or dangerous driving conditions.

• Stop the vehicle safely as soon as possible.
• Seek assistance from an authorized Volkswagen dealer or service facility immediately.

After activating the drive system in the Volkswagen ID.4, if the 12 V battery was deeply discharged, replaced, or jump-started, some system settings such as personal preferences or stored configurations may be reset or deleted. Once the battery is sufficiently recharged, check and restore all relevant settings.

ID. Cockpit

The ID. cockpit in the Volkswagen ID.4 is a high-resolution digital display system that forms part of the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit. It allows drivers to select different information profiles, providing access to notifications from driver assistance systems, vehicle status alerts, and a digital speedometer.
