1. Alarm horn - H12-

• ⇒ Rep. gr. 96 ; Removing and installing alarm horn [H12]

2. Shear nut

• Renew after removing

3. Bracket for alarm horn - H12-
4. Nut

• Qty. 2
• 6 Nm

5. Anti-theft alarm sensor - G578-

6. Rear window - ZX1-

• With glass breakage sensor for rear window - G304-

7. On-board supply control unit - J519-

• ⇒ Rep. gr. 97 ; Removing and installing onboard supply control unit [J519]

Removing and installing alarm horn [H12]

Alarm horn - H12- is referred to hereafter as alarm horn.

Removing

• Remove plenum chamber cover ⇒ General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr. 50 ; Plenum chamber bulkhead; Removing and installing plenum chamber cover .

Note

The shear nut -3- cannot be removed without being damaged.

• Destroy shear nut -3- using suitable workshop equipment.
• Remove alarm horn -2-.
•  Disconnect electrical connector -1-.
• Remove alarm horn -2-.

Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal, observing the following:

• Tighten new shear nut until head shears off.

Tightening torques

Removing and installing anti-theft alarm sensor [G578]

Anti-theft alarm sensor - G578- will henceforth be referred to as "sensor".

Front roof module - WX3- is referred to hereafter as roof module.

Removing

• Remove front roof module ⇒ Rep. gr. 96 ; Removing and installing front roof module [WX3] .
• Release locking devices -2- in direction of -arrow A-.
• Remove sensors -1- from roof module.

• Release locking devices -2- in direction of -arrow A-.
• Remove sensor -1-.

Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal, observing the following:

If the anti-theft alarm sensor has been renewed:

• Carry out required function/functions using ⇒ Vehicle diagnostic tester ⇒ Rep. gr. 00 ; Access to diagnoses .
