Removing and installing 12 V socket [U5]/[U19]

Special tools and workshop equipment required

• puller - T40148-

12 V socket - U5- and 12 V socket 3 - U19- are referred to hereafter as socket.

Note

Socket cannot be removed intact

Removing

For reasons of clarity, the following work procedure is shown with the socket removed.

NOTICE

Risk of damage to component surfaces.

• Mask off component in visible area using commercially available adhesive tape

• Insert puller - T40148- -A- into socket -1-.
• Turn knurled nut -4- until locking device -3- engages in recesses -2-.
• Pull out socket -1- using puller -A-, and disconnect electrical connector.
• Loosen knurled nut -4-, and pull puller -A- out of socket -1-.
