De-energising high-voltage system

DANGER

High voltage can cause fatal injury.

Danger of severe or fatal injuries from electric shock or electric arcs.

  • Have a high-voltage technician (HVT) or a high-voltage expert (HVE) de-energise the high-voltage system.

Important

  • If problems occur during the de-energisation procedure, always inform the high-voltage expert.
  • Have a calibrated voltage tester with suitable test probes ready.
  • Prepare signage and barrier.
  • De-energise high-voltage system using ⇒ Vehicle diagnostic tester ⇒ Rep. gr. 00 ; Access to diagnoses .

Re-energise high-voltage system

Re-energising high-voltage system

WARNING

High voltage can cause fatal injury.

Danger of severe or fatal injuries from electric shock or electric arcs.

  • Have a high-voltage technician (HVT) or a high-voltage expert (HVE) re-energise the high-voltage system.
  • Check potential equalisation line.
  • Visually inspect insulation of detached potential equalisation line.
  • Verify specified torque of loosened threaded connections for potential equalisation line.
  •  Re-energise high-voltage system using ⇒ Vehicle diagnostic tester ⇒ Rep. gr. 00 ; Access to diagnoses .
