Plug & Charge function
The Volkswagen ID.4 supports Plug & Charge technology, allowing the high-voltage battery to begin charging automatically when connected to a compatible charging station or wall box, without manual authentication.
This feature depends on vehicle equipment and regional availability.
Requirements
✓ The charging station supports Plug & Charge according to ISO 15118.
✓ A valid electricity contract is stored via the We Connect ID. app in the Volkswagen ID.4.
✓ Location sharing is enabled in the Infotainment system.
✓ Plug & Charge is activated in the Volkswagen ID.4 settings.
✓ An active We Connect service contract is available.
