Removing the Caps

The wheel bolt caps on the Volkswagen ID.4 protect the bolts from dirt and corrosion and must always be reinstalled after servicing.

1. Take the extraction hook from the vehicle tool kit.

2. Insert the hook into the opening of the cap.

3. Pull the cap off in the direction of the arrow → fig. 1.

Putting on Caps

1. Press each cap firmly onto the corresponding wheel bolt until it is fully seated.

The anti-theft wheel bolt uses a specific cap designed only for that bolt. Ensure it is fitted correctly and not mixed with standard caps.
