Introduction
Due to ongoing development of the Volkswagen ID.4, equipment-specific fuse configurations and shared protection across multiple electrical systems, a complete fuse layout may not be fully documented at the time of publication.
For detailed and up-to-date fuse information, consult qualified professionals. Volkswagen recommends contacting an authorized Volkswagen dealer or service center.
In many cases, several electrical components in the Volkswagen ID.4 may be protected by a single fuse, while some systems may require multiple fuses for operation.
Only replace a fuse after the cause of the fault has been identified and resolved. If a new fuse blows shortly after replacement, the electrical system must be inspected by qualified specialists.
Fuses for emergency responders
One of the high-voltage fuses in the instrument panel fuse box of the Volkswagen ID.4 is marked with a special flag. This allows emergency responders to quickly disconnect power in critical situations. Never attempt to remove or replace this fuse yourself →
. If this fuse fails, it must be serviced by qualified professionals.
WARNING
The high-voltage system in the Volkswagen ID.4 carries dangerous voltage that can cause electric shock, severe burns, or death.
WARNING
Using incorrect fuses, repairing damaged fuses, or bypassing fuse protection can lead to electrical fires and severe damage to the Volkswagen ID.4.
NOTICE
High-voltage fuses marked with a special flag are strictly reserved for emergency use. Improper handling may damage the Volkswagen ID.4 electrical system.
NOTICE
Replacing a fuse while the Volkswagen ID.4 is powered on or while electrical systems are active may result in serious damage.
NOTICE
Installing a fuse with a higher current rating than specified can damage other components in the electrical system.
NOTICE
Dirt or moisture entering the fuse box can lead to malfunctions in the Volkswagen ID.4 electrical system.
There are additional fuses in the Volkswagen ID.4 that are not listed in this section. These should only be serviced or replaced by authorized Volkswagen technicians to ensure safety and system integrity.
