When all wheels on the Volkswagen ID.4 are equipped with identical tire and rim sizes, it is recommended to rotate the tires regularly according to the illustrated pattern → fig. 1. This ensures even wear distribution, improves driving stability, and helps extend the overall service life of all tires on the Volkswagen ID.4.

Regular tire rotation is particularly important for maintaining balanced handling characteristics and optimal efficiency in the Volkswagen ID.4. Even wear also contributes to quieter operation and better traction in varying road conditions.

Volkswagen strongly recommends that tire replacement and rotation on the Volkswagen ID.4 be carried out by an authorized Volkswagen dealer or authorized Volkswagen Service Facility to ensure proper installation and safety standards.

Different tire and rim sizes on front and rear axle

Some versions of the Volkswagen ID.4 may be equipped with different tire and rim sizes on the front and rear axles. In such cases, the wheels must never be interchanged between axles, as doing so can negatively affect handling and may invalidate the vehicle's operating approval.

Additionally, the rolling circumference and tread design may vary between the front and rear tires on the Volkswagen ID.4. This setup is specifically engineered for performance and stability and must always be maintained correctly.
