Side Curtain Protection

The Side Curtain Protection system in the Volkswagen ID.4 extends along the side windows and is designed to protect occupants' heads in the event of a side collision. It also helps prevent occupants from being ejected from the vehicle and offers additional protection during rollover situations.

Center airbag

The center airbag in the Volkswagen ID.4 is positioned between the driver and front passenger seats. It is designed to reduce the risk of occupants colliding with each other during a side impact, thereby enhancing overall passenger safety.

• Always ensure that child restraints match the child’s size, weight, and age.
• Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for installing and securing the child restraint correctly.
• Never place more than one child in a single child restraint.
• Never allow children to sit on laps while the vehicle is in motion.
• Never leave children unattended in a child restraint.
• Do not allow children to stand, kneel, or sit improperly while driving, especially in the front passenger seat.
• Ensure the safety belt is routed correctly for the child restraint to provide maximum protection.
• Replace any child restraint after an accident, even if no visible damage is present.
