In many regions, child restraints must comply with ECE-R 44 or ECE-R 129 regulations. Both standards are currently valid. Approved child restraints feature an orange ECE certification label that includes essential information such as:

Child restraints in group 2 are typically suitable up to around 7 years, while group 3 is designed for older children.
For children taller than 100 cm (approx. 3 ft 3 in), always use the appropriate belt routing system and additional attachment points where available.
Not every child restraint fits every child or vehicle. Always verify that the child seat fits correctly in your Volkswagen ID.4 and that the child is properly secured.
