1. Tie-down point.

The Volkswagen ID.4 is equipped with multiple tie-down points in the luggage compartment, allowing you to securely fasten cargo using ropes, securing belts, or tensioning straps → fig. 1. These anchor points are essential for preventing load movement during driving.

WARNING

Using damaged or unsuitable securing straps in the Volkswagen ID.4 may result in failure during braking or an accident, causing objects to be thrown into the vehicle interior and leading to serious or fatal injuries.

Always ensure that all securing equipment is appropriate and in good condition.

• Use only approved and undamaged tie-downs, belts, and tensioning straps.
• Secure loads diagonally and tightly across the luggage compartment floor for maximum stability.
• Ensure that the load extends above the tie-down points where necessary, especially for flat items.
• Follow all cargo securing guidelines based on the equipment of your Volkswagen ID.4.
• Never attach child restraint systems to tie-down points.

WARNING

Elastic straps are under tension when stretched. If they slip or release unexpectedly, they may snap back and cause serious injury.

• Protect your eyes and face when handling tensioning straps.
• Always hold the hooks securely when attaching or removing straps.
• Attach elastic straps to the front tie-down points first, then stretch them toward the rear to reduce injury risk if they disengage.
