1. Indicator light in the control panel for central locking.

Depending on the region, the central locking control in the Volkswagen ID.4 may also be located on the front passenger door.

If the Volkswagen ID.4 is locked from the outside using the key, the central locking control remains inactive.

If the vehicle is locked from the inside using the central locking button:

• The yellow indicator light will illuminate when all doors are securely closed → fig. 1 -1-.
• The anti-theft alarm system of the Volkswagen ID.4 will not be activated.

The doors can still be opened from inside by pulling the door handle, which will also switch off the indicator light.

The remaining doors and trunk lid remain locked and cannot be opened from the outside.

The driver’s door cannot be locked if it is open.
