Volkswagen ID.4: Locking the front passenger door and rear doors in an emergency

The front passenger and rear doors of the Volkswagen ID.4 can be manually locked in emergency situations.

In this case, the anti-theft alarm system will not be activated.

1. Open the respective door.

2. Remove the rubber cover from the door edge.

3. Insert the emergency key into the vertical slot and turn inward → fig. 1.

4. Reinstall the rubber cover.

5. Verify that the door is securely locked.

6. Have the Volkswagen ID.4 inspected by a qualified professional as soon as possible.

If a door has been manually locked, it will unlock again when the Volkswagen ID.4 is unlocked normally or opened from the inside.

  Doors can always be opened from the inside by pulling the handle.

For optimal safety and convenience, regularly check the locking systems of your Volkswagen ID.4 and ensure all components are functioning correctly.
