Volkswagen ID.4: Switching the high beam headlights on and off

1. Turn on the high beam headlights.
2. Activate the headlight flasher or switch off the high beam headlights.

If the high beam headlights or flashers are active, the blue indicator appears in the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit → .

Turning on the high beam headlight

1. Switch the ignition on in the Volkswagen ID.4.

2. Activate the low beam headlights.

3. Push the turn signal and high beam lever forward from its neutral position → fig. 1.

Turning off the high beam headlight

1. Pull the lever backward to its original position → fig. 1.

Turning the headlight flasher on and off

1. Pull and hold the lever backward → fig. 1 to activate the headlight flasher.

Release the lever to deactivate the flasher.

Light Assist

Depending on equipment, the Volkswagen ID.4 may include advanced high beam control (Light Assist), which automatically adjusts the high beam based on traffic and lighting conditions.

WARNING

Improper use of high beam headlights in the Volkswagen ID.4 can blind or distract other road users and cause serious accidents.

• Only use high beam headlights when it is safe and will not affect other drivers.

For maximum safety, always ensure that all lighting systems in your Volkswagen ID.4 are functioning correctly and are used appropriately according to road and weather conditions.
