Volkswagen ID.4: Switching the ignition on and off

Switching on the ignition

1. Press the starter button once. The starter button is located on the right-hand side of the steering column in the Volkswagen ID.4.

Automatic ignition switch off

If the driver moves away from the Volkswagen ID.4 with the vehicle key while the ignition is still active, the system will automatically switch off the ignition after a short period. However, if the hood is open, this automatic shut-off function is disabled.
