Possible displays in the digital instrument cluster

Depending on the configuration of the Volkswagen ID.4, the Digital Cockpit can display a wide range of information to support safe and efficient driving:

• Outside temperature display.
• Detected road signs via traffic sign recognition.
• Open doors, hood, or trunk lid alerts.
• Speed warnings.
• Speed warnings for winter tires.
• Odometer readings.
• Navigation instructions.
• Driving range estimation.
• Driver personalization including greeting and user profile selection.
• Remaining charging time for the high-voltage battery.
• Service interval reminders.
• Warning and information messages.

Outside temperature display

When the outside temperature drops below approximately +4 ºC (+39 ºF), a snowflake symbol appears in the Volkswagen ID.4 Digital Cockpit as a warning of possible icy road conditions. This symbol remains visible until the temperature rises above +6 ºC (+43 ºF).

In certain situations, the displayed temperature in the Volkswagen ID.4 may be slightly higher than the actual ambient temperature due to heat radiation from the vehicle itself:

• When the vehicle is stationary.
• At very low driving speeds.

The measurable temperature range extends from -45 ºC (-49 ºF) to +76 ºC (+169 ºF).

WARNING

Roads may become icy at low temperatures, even above freezing. This significantly increases the risk of accidents when driving the Volkswagen ID.4.

• If the symbol appears, drive with extreme caution.
• Always adapt your driving style to weather, road, and traffic conditions.
• Do not rely solely on the outside temperature display.

Open doors, hood and trunk lid

If any door, the hood, or the trunk lid is open after unlocking or while driving the Volkswagen ID.4, this will be displayed in the Digital Cockpit and may also be accompanied by an audible warning signal.

Speed warning for winter tires

If the preset maximum speed is exceeded, the Volkswagen ID.4 Digital Cockpit will display a warning message.

The speed warning settings can be customized via the vehicle settings in the Infotainment system.

Odometer displays

The odometer in the Volkswagen ID.4 records the total distance traveled by the vehicle over its lifetime.

Range display

The range display indicates the estimated distance that can still be driven with the current battery charge, based on recent driving behavior and energy consumption patterns in the Volkswagen ID.4.

Some displays in the Volkswagen ID.4 Digital Cockpit may be temporarily hidden if priority events occur, such as speed warnings or system alerts.

Depending on the vehicle equipment, certain settings and information may also be shown in the Infotainment system.
