Synchronising vehicle settings

Synchronization of vehicle settings occurs automatically under the following conditions:

• When switching on the ignition and Infotainment system: all recently used Volkswagen ID profiles stored in the Volkswagen ID.4 are synchronized.
• When changing to another user account: both the newly activated and the previously active profiles are synchronized.
• At the end of a trip and when switching off the ignition: the last active user profile is synchronized.

You can also manually trigger synchronization at any time via the user management menu in the Volkswagen ID.4, especially if automatic synchronization was interrupted or unsuccessful.

Automatic synchronization may not occur if the Volkswagen ID.4 has limited connectivity, such as in underground parking garages, or when maximum privacy mode is enabled.

If the same Volkswagen user profile is active in another vehicle and settings are updated there, those changes will also be synchronized to your Volkswagen ID.4.
